ProjectDX is an online service for communities and property owners interested in reducing their impact on the environment and in working together to restore a more natural balance within their communities. This policy outlines our commitment to protecting your information.
At ProjectDX, your privacy is our chief concern. We understand that you entrust us with your private information to help us refine your property’s footprint analysis and enhance the accuracy of our related estimates, as well as to allow us to match you with third party vendors who can help you to meet your needs in storm-water management, alterative energy solutions and habitat restoration. Under no circumstances will ProjectDX sell or share any personal information about you to or with any person or organization except: as authorized by you, to participating agents or other parties involved in your transaction, or as may be required by law or court order. The Privacy Policy below describes the standards we adhere to in handling information about you, your property, and .your use of the ProjectDX service.
ProjectDX is an online solutions provider that works with local governments and utilities to provide you with information and alternatives on how you can reduce your impact on the environment, that provides tools and information on what types of sustainable projects appear to be appropriate and feasible for your particular site or property, and which can also connect you with third party vendors to help you finance and implement these sustainable projects. The ProjectDX services are informational in nature and ProjectDX does not provide these vendor services directly to you.
After you submit your information via our web site, at your request, ProjectDX will match your project requirements to local vendors that have indicated that they are qualified and capable of providing the products and services required to finance and/or implement your sustainable projects. We create this connection by emailing your information and a project file to the list of recommended vendors, or to those that you have specifically selected. Your matching vendors will use the information you provided to initiate contact directly with you, to prepare quotes, and to better understand the scope and details of your projects.
ProjectDX does not charge a fee to you to use our service.
ProjectDX may prompt a user of the service, depending on the user’s actions and requests, for personal or secure logon information. For example, when a user attempts to store updates to their property characteristics or to save their on-line project files (shopping cart) for later retrieval, ProjectDX will request the necessary information to create or access a password-protected account for that user. And when such an active account user requests the ProjectDX service to release their project files or to make other requests to one or more third-party vendors, the user may be prompted to provide more personal information for the purpose of facilitating such contact with those vendors. Similarly, donors to the ProjectDX Credit For Habitat™ program will be required to provide additional personal information as necessary to document, verify, quantify and receive attribution for their donated credits.
ProjectDX may therefore collect and store the following types of personal and property-related information during such use of the service:
We collect and track certain technical information to ensure that your consumer experience is a beneficial one. We may also use technical information to store your preferences and make future visits to our site quicker for you.
When you submit your information to ProjectDX, and you request that it is shared with vendors, your information is used to match you with, and transmitted to, vendors who can best serve your needs and in order to facilitate their direct contact with you.
ProjectDX uses technical information such as cookies and web logs to study how our sites are being used. We can also use cookies to track your preferences so that when you return to our web site, you can navigate more easily without having to re-enter certain information. By analyzing the data that cookies and web logs provide, we can determine how to improve our web sites and ad campaigns to better serve our customers.
By submitting information with ProjectDX, vendors will contact you using the phone numbers and/or email addresses provided. In order stop these communications, you must contact the vendors directly and request that they stop contacting you.
If you decide to purchase products or services from a vendor matched to you or who contacted you as a result of an introduction by ProjectDX, all further contact with that vendor is not covered under this policy. You should thoroughly read the Privacy Policy of the vendor you select in order to make sure that you are comfortable with their policy.
YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT IN NO EVENT WILL PROJECTDX BE LIABLE TO YOU OR A THIRD PARTY FOR ANY DIRECT OR INDIRECT DAMAGES, EVEN IF PROJECTDX IS AWARE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS OR FOR ANY OTHER SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, HOWEVER CAUSED, WHETHER BASED UPON CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY IN TORT, WARRANTY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. THE PARTIES INTEND THAT THIS LIMITATION SHOULD APPLY EVEN IF IT CAUSES ANY WARRANTY TO FAIL OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE. THIS INCLUDES ANY LIABILITY RESULTING FROM DISCLOSING YOUR INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTY VENDORS, AND ANY RESULTING RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN YOU AND SUCH VENDORS, OR USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION BY SUCH VENDORS.
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless ProjectDX and its officers, directors, and employees from and against all fines, suits, proceedings, claims, causes of action, demands, or liabilities of any kind or of any nature arising out of or in connection with your use of the website and by supplying ProjectDX with your personal information.
